Twenty two firefighters attend electrical fire at university accommodation block in Coventry

Twenty two firefighters were alerted out to an electrical fire in the block of university accommodation flats in the early hours of the morning

Four fire engines attended a fire that was started accidentally by an electrics fault in the block of university flats in Coventry. The fire brigade were alerted by the alarms that were installed in the flats in the early hours of the morning of March 2nd.

Luckily the fire was said to have not caused too much damage to the flats and that the fire was due to a fault in the recent electrical work that had been carried out in the flats. The fire set ablaze in the boiler room which was situated off the communal area of the flats. Two different fire trucks were sent from different stations, being Binley and Foleshill station.
