The Derbyshire road was closed after a fire started to spread that had potentially come from an electrics line
Milton Road was closed off after a member of the public called in that a fire had broken out from an electrics line and had spread to the nearby fields. A message was put out for locals warning them of the road closure.
The first call the authorities received about the fire was at 2:55pm and they reported saying that a power line was setting fire to the adjacent fields. The fire brigade managed to tame the fire with not too much difficulty and managed to leave the scene at 4pm.
When looking into the fire itself, the line was said by the provider to have not caused an outage of the houses that it supplied. This then looks like that the fire came from the line without there being a fault that was visible at the time.
