Date finally set for reopening of small store near Derby after electrical fire

Fire is found to be electrical caused as town store finally sets a date for its reopening

The fire was caused by what they later found out was an electric fault with the IT system. Initially a reopening date was unknown as the damaged first had to be assessed then repaired. The reopening was set after two weeks, and was set for a month’s time.

The Swadlincote small branch store is aiming to function as usual apart from the fact that the inhouse post office will not reopen. The town near Burton-on-Trent and Derby is now looking for another location where a post office can open and serve the town.
