A man has died in a fire that broke out in a home in Hadfield, Glossop, in the Derbyshire Peak District. The fire is believed to have been an “accidental electrical fire”.
The Derbyshire Fire & Rescue were called to the fire at 5:47pm on Tuesday, December 6, after reports of the fire. By the time the fire fighters had arrived, the fire had already been extinguished.
When the firefighters arrived and entered the building a male body was found. The man was identified and his family were informed.
The fire service said: “Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service would like to extend its thoughts and sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased at this distressing time. A joint police and fire investigation has determined this was an accidental electrical fire.”
