The product poses a high risk of electric shock as when tested the plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of the relevant standard (BS1363). This includes to size of the plug pins exceed the limit which can damage the plug socket.

Additionally, the plug conductors had been soldered onto their respective terminals and have not been held in place independently of the soldered connection (or securely hooked in position prior to soldering). There are no barriers to prevent a detached wire from reducing creepage distances and clearances to levels below the minimum required by the standard. Furthermore, the instructions are considered to be inadequate as they do not contain sufficient information to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment.
