Fire crews were ‘quickly mobilised’ after a fire broke out in a skip at a commercial building in Bolton.
Two fire engines from Bolton Central fire station were called at around 9.30am following reports of a fire at a unit on Raikes Lane.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service say that the fire in the skip contained small electrical appliances. These electrical appliances are believed to be the cause of the fire breaking out. This stresses the importance of proper disposal when it comes to electrical appliances. Especially those that are old, worn or broken.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two jets to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
They remained on the scene for around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
