Fire that tore through a barn near Leicester finally said to have been caused by electrical fault

The fierce fire that tore through a barn and workshop near Lutterworth, which is close to Hinckley and Leicester, is said to have been sparked by an electrical fault.

Up to 30 firefighters attended the scene and raced to tackle the accidental blaze in the early hours of the morning. 

Police were also called out after the terrorised farmer raised the alarm.

Valuable farm vehicles, cylinders and a large supply of diesel were all kept in the barn workshop. The blaze took more than two hours to put out.
