Firefighters attended a fire at a church in South Staffordshire on Thursday 10th of March. Crews were called to the Methodist Church in Staffordshire, located just outside of Cannock, following reports of an electrical fire.
Fire crews from Penkridge and Cannock were helped by officers from Staffordshire Police. On arrival there was thick smoke present inside the building. The fire had started on an electrical board that was put out with a dry powder device. The fire was deemed to be a result of an accidental ignition of the electrical board which was stored in a cupboard. The Staffordshire Police confirmed that no-one was hurt in the fire.
