A black and white nail gel removal machine with a black UK plug.

The product presents a high risk as during testing the insulation between the input and output circuits broke down when a 2.92kV test voltage was applied to the circuits. If the product were to fail during use, this could cause the metal parts of the product to become live and give the user an electric shock. The instructions were considered to be inadequate as they did not contain sufficient information to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

The product presents a risk of fire and electric shock as the plug, cable and fuse are counterfeit. There was no approval marking or ballast present in the fuse and the transformer was of poor build quality as it did not meet the meet the creepage and clearance requirements. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Light Up Unicorn Wand - Recall

Details

A battery-operated blue light up unicorn wand.

The battery compartment on the products is not adequately secured, allowing easy access to the compartment and button cell batteries. The batteries may be placed in the mouth and swallowed, presenting a choking hazard for young children and causing damage to the gastrointestinal tract.

Additionally, the product included electrical components with solder joints, and when tested, the solder was found to contain lead at a concentration that exceeds the 0.1% maximum limit specified, which presents an environmental hazard.

The bag used for packaging poses a potential asphyxiation hazard to the intended consumer, and some of the required documentation was not present.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011, or the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2012 (RoHS).
