Grey and pink hairdryer with power plug and adjustable components.
The product presents a high risk of electric shock and fire as although the heating element was fitted with a device to interrupt power in response to abnormal operation temperature, the fan motor continued to operate until the item ceased functioning in a non-controlled manner. While the product is plugged in and switched on, if it were to be placed down on a surface blocking the air intake, the product could overheat. As there is no
safety device to isolate power in the event of overheating, the product will likely catch fire.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Round, ‘bulb’-like string light set with wall plug.
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the plug and fuse supplied with the product does not comply with the British Standards 1363 and 1362. The lighting chain was marked as having a protection rating of IP44, e.g. protected from water splashed from all directions. The rating could not be tested as part of this assessment, but due to the lack of suitable gaskets it was considered that this level had not been met. Overtime the cables can degrade exposing the live wires. A consumer may not notice the exposed wires and
may touch the cables to move them and receive an electric shock. The instructions provided were also considered inadequate. They did not provide sufficient information to ensure proper installation, use and maintenance.

String light set with power plug and bulbs.
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the lighting chain was marked as having a protection rating of IP 67, e.g., protected from low pressure jets of water. The rating could not be tested as part of this assessment, but due to the lack of suitable gaskets it was considered that this level had not been
met. Overtime the cables can degrade exposing the live wires. A consumer may not notice the exposed wires and may touch the cables to move them and receive an electric shock. The model on the label affixed to the lighting chain differed to the one printed on the packaging. These need to be consistent to avoid confusion. The instructions provided were also considered inadequate. They did not provide sufficient information to ensure proper installation, use and maintenance.

The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the plug is counterfeit. The plug is too small for a standard UK socket and the plug pins are too close to the periphery of the plug. If the user plugs in the item, they could therefore receive an electric shock if touching the pins. There were no instructions supplied with the product to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment. The electrical equipment had also not been marked with the name, trademark, or other means for the identification of the manufacturer as required by the regulation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical
